Symposium held to promote multilingual education in Malaysia

From 23 to 27 April 2007 the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) conducted a symposium to promote Multilingual Education. The venue was Kota Belud, bear the foot of Mt.Kinabalu in Sabah, East Malaysia. The event is quite un-precedented as the Malaysian government has hitherto insisted on education in Malay.
